About: Dr. D. LeGrand Peterson, ND
Born and raised in Washington, Dr. Dallin LeGrand Peterson learned about Naturopathic medicine at an early age of 14 from his neighbor Doctor Joe Dumovic DC, ND. There he spent several years during his high school, undergraduate studies and medical studies learning about Naturopathic medicine. Dr. LeGrand received his Bachelors degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Neurobehavioral Science and Pre-medicine from Brigham Young University Provo Utah. He then continued his studies and received his Naturopathic Medical degree from Bastyr University.
During his clinical rotations, Dr. LeGrand interned with Dr. Katherine Raymer MD, ND who specializes in ADHD and Autism. There he learned effective treatments and protocols for both ADHD and Autism. He also spent years interning with both Dr. Mark Lamden and Dr. Christian Dodge, who both specialize in sports medicine. This helped him become skilled in the arts and techniques of physical medicine to treat patients with chronic and acute muscular skeletal issues.
He did his Residency at Tacoma Health being mentored by Dr. Andrew Iverson, ND. Not only did Dr LeGrand learn to be proficient in Family medicine he also became a master at metabolic chemistry testing (look under the treatment plans tab to find out what metabolic chemistry is). He also learned the arts of Nutritional response testing and how to detoxify and cleanse the body.
At age 11, Dr. LeGrand discovered the importance of water fasting and made it a lifelong practice of his. At age 17, he went on his first intense cleanse and realized how important the body needs to detoxify on a regular basis. Through his own experience and treating patients with cleansing and water fasting he discovered that cleansing the body had the most profound impact on healing the body than any other treatment out there. Dr. LeGrand’s true focus in Naturopathic medicine is helping patients prep and go through cleansing because he knows it is one of the most effective treatments that Naturopathic medicine has to offer.
When Dr. LeGrand is not spending time with patients he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. Dr. LeGrand enjoys the arts by painting, drawing, making educational YouTube video’s (You can find his YouTube channel at Dr. LeGrand) and dancing. He also enjoys the great outdoors, mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming and running. He loves to learn and grow from reading and learning from other knowledgeable people.
